William Joseph (aka FUNKT) is a Florida-based music producer, sound engineer, and multimedia creator known for blending artistic soul with technical precision. A former garage rock guitarist turned turntable innovator, William has been making waves in Florida’s underground music scene since 2005, crafting genre-bending productions that fuse creativity with cutting-edge technology.

William’s passion for innovation behind vinyl took shape early. In 2006, he took 3rd place in the Tampa Finals of Guitar Center’s Spin Off — a national turntablist scratch battle — showcasing his creativity by blurring the lines between vinyl and live instrumentation. He soon began producing original tracks and remixes that fused soulful melodies with boundary-pushing electronic beats. Under his alias FUNKT, he released the EP Steps 2 Destruction, earning praise from Dubstep.net (now EDM.com), which described his sound as “soulful, deep, and incredibly well textured.”

Driven by a passion for both sound and technology, William expanded his expertise through a professional recording and engineering program, mastering the art of mixing, mastering, and sound design. Through Funkt Studio, he helps artists, creators, and businesses elevate their brands with custom music production, promotional video content, and sound-synced visuals designed to captivate audiences.
